Impulse-sound test measurements have during the last 50 years developed into an important method for objective acquisition of room-acoustical characteristics. Corresponding investigations by diverse authors and schools have ensured that the objectively obtained data are also susceptible of subjective interpretation. In contrast to dummy-head measurements, the TEF measurements which quite recently have become feasible are at present possible but for one channel. The article describes which information can be obtained nevertheless and how a new software can be helpful in achieving useful results already by these one-channel measurements. The contribution is complemented by examples from measurements made in the Schillertheater in Berlin West.
