An efficient format for transmission of program related information categories in the subcode channel R-W will be discussed. The text transmission capacity is >10 fold when compared with the existing mode-1 standard. Run length coded graphics and natural image coding are also provided. The system is using 63 main and 255 subchannels for selective readout via interactive means.
