Networking of Personal Computers for Audio in a Broadcasting Environment

The use of technologies developed primarily for the business community are beginning to offer some radical departures from the traditional ways of handling audio material. Of particular interest is the opportunity of using a single computer network infrastructure to service both the audio and business needs of the broadcasters. This paper is intended to explore some of the issues involved in the application of personal computing technologies and in particular networks for handling audio in the broadcasting environment.
