Adding network control to audio devices raises design issues such as electromagnetic interference, FCC Part 15 susceptibility and immunity tests, digital and analog power and grounding systems, shielding, and transformer and optical isolation schemes. Design methods, such as proper grounding and shielding, are shown to improve product and system performance.
