The voice paging system for the new Denver International Airport is designed to provide general and emergency voice evacuation paging throughout the six-building complex. The concept of fault-tolerant system design is presented showing the use of distributed intelligence, self-testing, automatic amplifier failure detection and replacement, and backup power to the control hardware.
