A novel design technique for high quality audio power circuits, that offers minimum number of gain stages while assuring high linearity and wide bandwidth operation, is proposed in this paper. This technique is referred to the use of a gain-type output stage in which additional negative voltage feedback is locally employed to anticipate open loop transient misbehavior and, thus, offer improved overall dynamic operation free of transient intermodulation distortion.
