In 1993, Studio A at BMG, originally built by RCA in the early 1960s, was closed forever. There was very little specific detail on record about its design and, apparently, no acoustical data about its performance. To try to fill some of this vacuum, over 90-MLS impulse measurements were taken with both omni and directional microphones at six positions in the room, as well as near one of the diffusing walls. This paper presents a first look at a small part of that data.
