This paper`s objective is to identify the underlying market and design criteria for audio control products, analyzing the impact of new technologies across conductive plastics, track development, and manufacturing practices. Attention will also be given to the impact of legislative requirements including EMC. The impact of the current recessional market pressure, on both the audio industry and on new product development, will also be discussed.
