Radio broadcasting operating requirements and techniques have changed from the original concepts used to design the NBC studios at Radio City in 1932. At that time the audio program was supreme and television only an experimental dream. It was commonplace to find three or four simultaneous radio programs being broadcast, with ample rehearsal time required for each. Today`s compact radio programming requires a compact technical system and a more efficient operational procedure. Such a system and procedure, recently installed and now in use at NBC, is described in this paper.
