Data Transmission on Existing Analog Audio Lines

Equipment for performing the simultaneous transmission of audio and data on the same analog audio line, modulating the data into the upper 300 Hz of the audio band (i.e. for transmitting the RDS data from the broadcasting studio to the transmitting station), is presented. Theoretical aspects concerning filter design as well as the practical realization based on DSP are described.
