In this paper are proposed several methods for the modeling and simulation of very long room impulse responses. Multirate systems are used to identify and process the measured impulse response data in frequency sub-bands. Parametric modeling techniques based on the Prony Method give a significant reduction of complexity. A nonparametric approach uses an extended fast convolution algorithm. Both approaches are appropriate to be performed by multiprocessor systems.
