Panel type loudspeakers (often dispole) are getting more and more popular. However, little information is available how to place them in a room for best results. Measurements with a scale model have been made to compare the characteristics of a point source (a closed box in this case) and a dipole source in this respect. Measurement results are postprocessed into more readable form and the results are discussed.
