Digital audio broadcasting (DAB EUREKA 147) offers many advantages concerning audio quality, resistance against transmission errors as well as frequency and power efficiency. Correction and detection strategies have to be optimized in view of the source encoded audio signal and to the listeners perception. Different concealment strategies, which are proposed, like muting, substitution, repetition, or estimation of the disturbed parts of the received encoded audio data improve the audio quality in case of transmission errors.
