The ISDN brings various new capabilities for the transmission of live reports. This paper describes a reporter console that uses an ISDN basic access and simultaneously provides three bi-directional links: a 7 kHz band with program channel, a coordination channel, and a transparent data link. Examples of integrated applications for a broadcasting network are also described, and possible future evolutions in this field are discussed.
