A miniature condenser microphone system is described which provides uniform response over the frequency range of 50 Hz to 400 kHz. The 0.1 inch diameter diaphragm has been designed to allow the unit to be flush-mounted with minimum surface irregularity. The parameters which control the rise time and damping ratio of the unit will be discussed in regard to provision of optimum transient response.
