Some Examples of Sound-System Correction of Acoustically-Difficult Rooms

Problems encountered, and solutions obtained, in making speech intelligible and natural in difficult rooms are described. The rooms are highly reverberant churches, rooms with focused reflections and rooms with high background noise levels. The sound systems used in these rooms are described, and the application of the narrow-band equalization process in such cases is detailed.
