Audio communications under battle conditions give rise to two sets of problems: a) Transducer reliability under incident shock wave resulting from armament detonation. b) Efficiency of transduction as affected by the blast proof design. Methods of providing reliability and efficiency under battle conditions will be evaluated with an analysis of various types of blast test effects upon the moving structure of the transducer.
