Universities and places of higher learning often face difficulty in trying to incorporate industry standard certifications offered by companies such as Avid, Apple and Adobe. In many cases it relieves instructors from having to write new outlines, adapt curriculum to work with new features released in software, which may negate the need for previous software and/or hardware methods. These courses often lower overall cost of hardware and software updates as well. With all the benefits of industry standard certifications, we will also cover several of the drawbacks curriculums face in offering these courses. I’ll also explore several other avenues that may be incorporated to make such offerings possible.
