Linear loudspeaker arrays have been shown to achieve good objective performance when reproducing binaural audio with crosstalk cancellation (CTC). However, little work has been done to correlate the amount of measured CTC with the perceptual performance of the system. This paper proposes a novel set of attributes that describe the perceptual performance of the CTC achieved by a linear loudspeaker array, as a result of varying the number of loudspeakers. A listening test was conducted to elicit attribute names and audibility ratings from a number of expert listeners for a range of stimuli. A selection process then produced a small, comprehensive set of attributes to facilitate further subjective testing of the perceptual effects of CTC performance.
