The Twin DASH recording format is aimed at recording studio, broadcast, and postproduction applications where extensive editing a a high level of robustness are prime requirements. The paper covers the Twin DASH version of the DASH format, its special features for electronic and mechanical editing, its error correction performance with random and non-random errors, and its electrical parameters for tape interchangeability.
