In 1983, three types of control rooms were investigated, one fairly reverberant, one almost over-damped and one with an absorbent as well as a reverberant end. The results of these measurements have been published and research has continued in different types of rooms. The TEF equipment was introduced to get more information on the time structure of the sound. Besides this, additional measurements have been made on the structure of the sound field at low frequencies. The aim is to obtain smooth frequency response curves, down to frequencies of 40 to 50 Hz.
