This paper deals with the dereverberation of the speech signal in video conferencing applications. Three techniques are evaluated in terms of dereverberation efficiency, complexity and robustness versus a multisource environment. The studied methods are static microphone arrays, microphone arrays with optimal filtering, and deconvolution of the acoustic path. It is shown that in spite of their limited performance, static microphone arrays are the best suited techniques for video conferencing.
